Great Brewster is one of thirty-four islands within the Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area. The island is 23 acres in size and is located 8 miles off the City of Boston’s coastline. It is the largest of nine other outer harbor islands that can best be described as rugged and windswept.Four outer islands are named for Elder William Brewster, who was a preacher and teacher from the Pilgrim Church in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
